This is one of the paintings ive done for my "reflections" art project at college... (the examiner stole it... grrr... i should get it back some time soon though!) Right... prepare yourself for the explanation of this....
 (ill keep it simple...i wrote LOADS for this coursework piece...)Its in two parts as you can see from my crappy photo. Basically, on the first... ... The spikey lizard on top of the orb wishes to be a dragon (hence why it is of a similar colour to the lizard... in the orb is its thoughts you see!!!) It's sitting on top and thinking about the power of dragons in the crazy colourful word around it (dragons are mystical... my mind and mystical means colours ^__^) and then... omg... what is holding the orb but an actual dragon!! Dragon's fulfill wishes!!! yaya!  (haha!! That was so hard to draw a dragon hand... so i drew (from LIFE) a severed phesants foot... it went hard and yacky I planned to do just one painting and leave it at that... but no... i continued with a second that could be pieced together... So... the second... the dragon. Continuing the theme of reflection the whole of the lizards wishes are reflected in the eye as the dragon observes the orb (dragons hold orbs) awww...  So thats the story of this painting! obviously i went into more detail for the coursework!Oh yes... this was done in oil paints and was the first time i have ever painted in oils and it took a VERY long time... -_- I gots my inspiration from Escher..... because he is a legend! |

I love the symbolism and the story and the colours are just amazing!
I found this page through the link in your sig at narutofan, I think you should post some of your stuff in the artist's gallery, because there's some awesome stuff here that should be shown to more people!
